Your first-week advertising checklist

A simple seven-day routine for launching, checking, and learning from a first campaign.

Day 1: choose the job

Choose one offer, one audience, and one desired next action. Confirm that your chosen advertising source is allowed by the affiliate program. Write down why the offer is useful to that reader. If the answer is vague, narrow the audience before writing the ad.

Check your destination on a phone and in a signed-out browser. The headline and next-step button should match what you intend to promise. Fix a broken or confusing destination before sending traffic.

Day 2: prepare and submit

Prepare a subject, short body, and working destination URL. Read them together and remove unsupported claims. Submit your Post It ad through the member creator. Record the copy, destination, and submission date.

Check the displayed status. Pending approval means your ad has been submitted, not that it is already receiving public exposure. If review takes longer than your planned week, move the measurement days forward; the calendar should follow actual delivery.

Days 3–4: verify and observe

After approval, check the public presentation and destination. Record the date the ad became active. Note the placement’s views and clicks without treating your own checks as prospective-customer activity.

Leave the creative stable long enough to gather useful observations. Do not change the headline, offer, destination, and colors at once. If something is broken or misleading, correct it immediately and note that the test was interrupted.

Days 5–6: inspect the journey

Compare exposure, clicks, and any destination outcomes separately. If there are few views, you have little information about the creative. If there are views but few clicks, inspect message relevance and readability. If people click but do not take the next step, inspect the page and offer.

A small number of visits can produce unstable percentages. Write “not enough evidence yet” when that is the honest conclusion. Do not buy more exposure just to avoid investigating a broken link or unclear offer.

Day 7: choose one next action

Write a short review: what was active, what you observed, what remains unknown, and what you will change next. Keep the original ad copy and dates so you can compare a later version. If you edit a Post It, allow for the new approval period.

Your next action may be to continue observing, improve one sentence, repair the landing page, or pause an unsuitable offer. A paid placement becomes a consideration when the campaign is prepared and you have a sensible question for the test—not because a week has passed.
